Wow, what a month it’s been. we officially closed on the ranch, what a blessing to call 240 acres our home. The river is so beautiful, as so much warmer than the snow run off waters i’m used to. We saw a total of maybe 10 cars pass by in the 4 days we spent down there. Truly blissful to be that far out. Back home in Hermiston for the school week and sports.

We loaded up the truck and made our way to Colorado, only to make it to Idaho and realize our cat Papaya, was in the back of the truck. I was dumbfounded, but along for the trip he had no idea he was in for. From Boise to Ogden we chased a lightning storm that lit up the sky for hours. That really helped make the trip go by. Woke up to the same storm taking out power at our hotel, so we ate our breakfast in the dark and continued to Colorado. The next day we picked our pregnant new 4 cows and our new bull Onyx, and made our way home. 18.5 hours with two kids, one baby, one dog and cat is brutal, but thanks to Jesus, and Tyghs amazing driving skills we made it home all in one piece! I truly can not believe this is the life I am getting to live. God is so good.

Now we wait for babies to hit the ground which is reminding me how inpatient I am. As well as slowly start moving things down to the ranch, and that also teaches me the same. Something I need to work on. Can’t wait to be more settled there. I am so excited to see how different things look from calves to ranch house in a month! I hope you are too!
